Gordon and Rhoda Budke
At Gordon's retirement party in '97, friends were offered the opportunity to purchase a "Gordy Gram" for thirty dollars to honor their friend. Excess funds from that venture were used to honor Gordon by starting what would become the Gordon Budke - Junior Achievement Endowed Scholarship at Eastern Washington University's College of Business and Public Administration. With a long history of generous financial support, Gordon and Rhoda have grown the scholarship over the years. Today, it has become one of the largest endowed scholarships in the College, and is awarded to a current or incoming Eastern Student who exemplifies achievement, leadership, and college and career potential.
Gordon and Rhoda have seen many individuals impacted by the good work of the University and in 2008 they made a commitment to leave a lasting legacy beyond their lifetime by including a charitable bequest to the Eastern Washington University Foundation in their will.
